Why Thermotrench™?

Thermotrench™ In Floor Convectors are ready-to-install and are available as a Warm Water or Elec-trically powered system convector for installation in screed or raised floor applications. The natural convection principle creates a barrier of warm air to screen off cold influence from large glazed areas. Thermotrench™ is made of aluminium and is anodized to protect from corrosion.

Special Grille Finishes

Thermotrench™ Grilles are anodized which emphasises the character of the material and integrates the grille perfectly into any architectural style. Additional to the standard stainless steel shade, any other anodised shade is available on request.

We can also produce Thermotrench™ Grilles powder coated in any RAL colour to order. Pick a unique, customised colour to match your individual interior design.

Problem:

Air cools on contact with the window surface, slides down to the floor, and it is distributed evenly in the room. This distribution of cold air induces a draft at floor level, leading to dis-comfort.

Solution:

The cold air sliding to the floor from the window, reaches the trench heater and is warmed. The descending, heavy, cold air in front of the full height glazing becomes warm light air ris-ing to induce a natural convection action. The warmed air creates a barrier in front of the glazing and prevents cold influence and condensation.

The advantages of In Floor Convectors

Thermotrench™ In Floor Convectors create cold air barrier in front of full height glazing eliminating condensation and cold influence.

Can be used as a primary heat source or combined with other heating systems, such as underfloor heating, as a secondary source.

A correctly specified Thermotrench system can provide full room heating in modern, well insulated properties and are popular as a secondary heat source in retrofit applications and modern glass extension projects.

Innovative design

Leave your mark on a project with Thermotrench™ The narrow, rounded grille bars create elegant solution and the omission of bar joints gives Thermotrench™ a sophisticated appearance.

The rubber-coated underside of the grille belt ensures it does not rattle or slip when traversed. It will always lie smoothly and evenly on the convector rim.The edge protection avoids rattling noises produced by lateral tolerance.

The Roll-up Grilles can be easily cut to fit on site. Roll lengths of up to 10 meters are available.

High Grade Materials

Aluminium profile bars are used for all Thermotrench™ grilles. This material has an extremely long lifetime, is resistant to ultraviolet light and humidity, it doesn‘t rust or warp, or change colour over time. The extremely high stability of the aluminium profiles is another distinctive advantage.

High Safety

The rounded bar profiles of the grille are safe to step on bare-footed. A rubber bearing provides a non-slip surface minimizing lateral movement when walked on. The integrated cutting edge cover of the grille protects the user against injuries during installation, cleaning, or maintenance work.

High Strength

Thermotrench™ is appropriate for daily use in pass-through areas of residential and office buildings and boasts high abrasion resistance. Thermotrench™ has been tested in a German testing laboratory for chemical, thermal, mechanical and ultraviolet resistance, according to the most stringent criteria.
